How can I achieve full 100% cost coverage?
For companies looking to upskill their employees, the Qualification Opportunities Act offers a solution. It funds the training and additionally allows companies to cover part of the wage costs through public funding.
Can I also have multiple employees trained?
Of course. If several employees in your company are eligible for further training, you can have multiple employees funded through the Qualification Opportunities Act.
Do I really get up to 75% of my employee’s wage costs reimbursed?
Yes, the Qualification Opportunities Act offers the possibility of covering up to 75% of wage costs for employee training. The exact amount of funding depends on various factors, such as the employee’s age, prior experience, and other individual criteria. We’d be happy to discuss these details with you in a consultation to determine the optimal funding for your employees.
What type of training program is this?
In this training program, participants are taught skills in communication, digitalization, social media, and marketing. Search engine optimization, website relaunch, social media marketing, as well as Facebook and Google advertising are just some of the competencies your employee will master upon completing the course.
How does the training take place?
The training to become a “Digitalization and Communication Specialist” takes place entirely online and runs alongside regular work. Your employee only needs internet access, a computer, and a smartphone.
The program includes an online course on our self-learning platform, an internal forum for networking with other participants, weekly live sessions, and a personal contact person available via chat, phone, and video calls.
The course features videos, graphics, texts, quizzes, and practical exercises. In addition, participants receive digital templates such as checklists and methods that can be applied directly in practice.
At the end of the program, participants complete the training online and receive a certificate as a “Digitalization and Communication Specialist.”
How long does the training program last?
The training program has a total duration of 14 months.
What is the legal basis for the training program?
This funding is based on legislation – the Qualification Opportunities Act (Qualifizierungschancengesetz), which applies to employees subject to social security contributions.
Employees have a legally guaranteed entitlement to this support. The federal government provides the funding, and the Employment Agency distributes it.
The best part: There is no risk and no repayment obligation – neither for the company nor for the employee. This applies even if the training is discontinued.
I’ve never heard of this kind of funding before...
Unfortunately, that’s often the case. This is largely due to a lack of awareness. However, the government actively wants to promote professional training to counter the skilled labor shortage, strengthen digitalization, and help companies remain competitive.

The Qualification Opportunities Act (QCG) offers employers an outstanding opportunity to support their employees through targeted training measures while simultaneously enhancing the company’s competitiveness. This law aims to improve employees’ qualifications to meet the growing demands of digital and technological transformation. It opens up the possibility for companies to receive financial support from the Federal Employment Agency – going beyond mere job security.
Making use of the Qualification Opportunities Act brings numerous benefits for employers.
First and foremost, there is financial support in the form of subsidies. Employers can receive reimbursement of up to 100% of training costs and up to 75% of wage costs and social security contributions. This ensures that financial barriers to employee training are minimized.
In addition, securing skilled workers helps retain qualified employees within the company and better prepare them for future challenges. This leads to greater independence in developing internal talent.
With highly qualified staff, a company can also strengthen its market position and increase its competitiveness. Skilled employees are a key factor in a company’s success, as they are capable of developing innovative solutions and working efficiently.
The Qualification Opportunities Act offers a wide range of funding options. Training costs can be partially or fully covered, providing significant financial relief for companies. In addition, wage subsidies during the training period are available to compensate for employees’ loss of earnings. This makes it more attractive for employers to offer training during working hours without having to bear the financial burden themselves.
To benefit from the funding provided by the Qualification Opportunities Act, certain requirements must be met.
The training must impart knowledge and skills that go beyond the current demands of the employee’s position. This means that the measure should not merely enhance existing skills but introduce new competencies relevant to future tasks and challenges.
Additionally, the training must be carried out by a certified provider. A particularly advantageous aspect is that for employees aged 45 and above, funding is almost always approved – offering older workers new perspectives and development opportunities.
Use the Qualification Opportunities Act to invest in the future of your company and your employees.
The QCG offers a wide range of opportunities that can significantly enhance the qualifications of your workforce and ensure your company remains competitive in the long term.
